Graduate of the Faculty of History of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (1993), Candidate of Historical Sciences (speciality archaeology, 2000), Doctor Habilitate in Historical Sciences (anthropology and ethnology, 2010). Area of scientific specialization: Art History, cultural anthropology, archaeology. All scientific interests are related to the study of applied art from the Prehistory to modern times: the art of ceramics, the theory and history of ornamentation, the art of small sculpture. Author of more than 140 publications in Russian, English, Ukrainian, Romanian, German, Spanish. Acted as a curator of exhibitions and organizer of scientific conferences. Deputy editor-in-chief of the "Terra Artis. Art and Design" journal.
